Pretty badass, but I also think he makes some questionable/unjustifiable decisions ethically at times. Anyway all of the antagonists deserved to die, not just due to his daughter. Anyway I don't know what the message is? Is it that the world is dangerous, and "foreign" people are scary, unlike americans? At least the French government is clearly also corrupt. Or maybe it's to instill fear in people and criminals for the government? Not sure.
