Conan the Barbarian (1982)

Awesome movie, maintaining tension and never getting boring. Sandahl Bergman and her character were great, and so was Arnold, whose role seems to be one of the best for him I've seen. The soundtrack is noteworthy as well. Probably my new favourite Schwarzenegger movie aside from Total Recall and Terminator (1).

Sadly, there were several scenes with seemingly non-fake not-so-nice-treatment of non-human animals though, and that definitely deterred me. Though admittedly it helped create the barbaric/primitive atmosphere and simple thought patterns, it naturally doesn't justify any mistreatment in any form, as nothing naturally does.
