Pretty funny.

Nefes: Vatan Sağolsun (2009)

English title: Nefes: Vatan sagolsun

♥♥♥

Very hardcore and quite interesting. Disliked the music, partially because it seemed to manipulate the message quite a bit, in an indie-emo direction.

PERFECT BLUE (1997)

English title: Perfect Blue

♥♥♥

It certainly got me involved but I was also somehow too puzzled to really be able to enjoy it, whatever that means. Didn't seem logical or to be going anywhere but in circles in the last third of the film.

Rambo (2008)

English title: Rambo (Rambo IV)

♥♥♥♥

Rambo IV - struck me as more political than the previous entries (+), with a sentiment to some extent of patriotism (-) and to some extent of war sucking (+), and a somewhat pacifist attitude (~). The cast excluding Rambo is fairly uninteresting as usual, but that really doesn't matter much as what carried the movie for me is Rambo himself, the movie's realism: full of blood and merciless breach of human rights and great use of Dogme (/Cloverfield) like camera handling - ie. in summary rambo, visuals and action. Music is okay but not very prevalent.

Rambo total rankings are difficult, in regards to III vs. IV, but I think the ultimate ranking for the recent viewings must be:
1: Rambo (4/5)
2: Rambo III (4/5)
3: Rambo IV (4/5)
4: Rambo II (2/5)

All movies or TV series' by Sylvester Stallone

(1985)

English title: Ran

♥♥♥

Sadly uninteresting on an individual level and occasionally unnecessarily protracted, however the epicness of the massive garrisons as well as the mythical story ultimately calls for a rewarding experience.

Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma (1975)

English title: Salo (Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma)

♥♥♥

I was expecting pure sadism/fetish/torture/porn, but was pleased to see that it had a storyline and some kind of characters you got to know as well, namely the libertines. I wasn't shocked, but it WAS an interesting watch certainly. The storytelling sequences were ace.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

English title: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie

♥♥♥

A childhood favourite. Aside from all the mediocrity this movie really has, the childrens' hangout is legendary, and Splinter's way of fighting made me realise, that if at all Yoda should be fighting, it should be in the same fashion: No showy acrobatics and lightsaber nonsense, but careful analysis of the given situations followed by ingeniously simple, but perfected counterattacks.
