The kid is 13 years old, it's pedophilia, being framed as romantic, cute, lighthearted and funny. Big oof!

Besides that I like it, it's easy to get swept away by it as a Tom Hanks + Elizabeth Perkins love story.
Nice soundtrack, and it's quite nostalgic.
I'm almost certain I saw it as a kid.
Does she look like a grownup Millie Bobby Brown? At least she reminds me of someone.

Scumbag piece of shit of a grandfather though(!!), should've been divorced early or better yet never married.

Kinda anthropocentric, though, not unlike other religious beliefs.

It looks like it was part of the inspiration for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon / House of Flying Daggers / Hero, also in terms of the physics. And for HoFD the bamboo forest!

I had a bit of trouble following the story at times though, would like to rewatch it sometime, maybe with someone else to talk about it with.

I'm kinda surprised but I actually found parts of this touching. Action is pretty run-of-the-mill and the story is nothing to write home about I'm inclined to think. 
And yet I was quite entertained, hence the rating. Not enough Guardians of the Galaxy though.

Trippy! Pretty impressive they're both a boyband, doctors, physicists and just all around scientists at the same time.
Pretty good soundtrack. As inspired as it is, it's mostly very uninspired when in comes to its representation of women, where the lead is damsel in distress, unfortunately.
