I feel the documentary wasn't that well made so I think it should've either been cut differently (with some new content), or be shortened. It was interesting to learn about her life!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
English title: Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi

Actually liked it quite a lot, way more so than Rogue One, and maybe slightly below or on par with VII? My Star Wars rankings from top to bottom would probably be: IV: A New Hope V: The Empire Strikes Back VI: Return of the Jedi VII: The Force Awakens VIII: The Last Jedi (might be equal to VII, need to rewatch to figure that out) I: Phantom Menace = III: Revenge of the Sith II: Attack of the Clones Rogue One

Iron Man (2008)
♥♥♥
Really rather sad portrayal of manhood, objectifying and practically owning women and other people as his subjects, and displaying the military as cool, and the weapons industry so positively. Also seems to play on anti-arab racist stereotypes and nationalism. And for food we harm other animals of course! And Hugh Hefner is also portrayed positively. Iron Man ignores a woman's no as well. In some ways it seems these things are portrayed a bit negatively, as if he's an immature asshole in the beginning, supporting the weapons industry and at the end it seems he may begin to be able to have a proper relationship seeing the other part as his equal, and at least having a somewhat more skeptical view on the weapons industry (as having profit over ethics, not much criticism of US military in itself) - but I've heard that in later films he continues to be an asshole, so I'm not really sure. That violent egotist main villain should not be allowed to live.

When I watched the trailer long ago I really didn't expect a very good movie, but I was positively surprised actually. Sad that sexist and racist language is apparently supposed to be edgy/cool though - it's quite widespread in this film.

I thought it was much better as a child, but still a decent re-watch. Quite tough subject matter, even possibly advocating gathering the courage to commit suicide as a solution. But maybe it's just symbolism for something else.

A strange mixture of being serious and comedy-like. For some reason I didn't develop that much empathy for that fictional species, as I would have had it been fx. cows. But I hope my reaction in this regard is an exception to the norm, as we humans are so strongly in need of empathy, or if not that letting empathy (non-selfishness) direct our actions to a much greater extent.

tyrant senior youngsters, both men and women but especially the men. the latter deserve to die - or worse: get expelled. and the teachers accept the tyranny: They should be forced to act as grown ups or be fired. coach and friends are apparently macho borderline bullies too many sexists and homophobes among the men/boys generally, sadly. at least tony (and maybe mike) are skeptical of those initiation rituals, but they don't step in and stop them. Others seem skeptical too even though they participate. maybe expectations or some higher up bullies are sort of enforcing that social order driving in the car knocking over mailboxes with trash cans: you see the (seemingly successful) conditioning happening to mitch, older youngsters showing what he should do and think is cool. mitch imitating wooderson, that guy i thought was cool but who turned out to be borderline paedophile. mitch, don't get back at that violent worthless sexist homophobe asshat o'bannion, too risky mitch: don't blame your sister for asking the guys to go easy on you. it was compassionate, regardless of the consequence. i guess his is also some ridiculous social norm bullshit reaction creepy thing to refer back to that non-consent fantasy of the fresh(wo)man saying she'll do anything for you, mike. pink is mostly the cool/nice guy, but then he has to ruin it at the end by two-timing his girlfriend though wtf. :/

Where are all the women? Very patriarchal, primitive (sad) society. It seems like Lovis, Ronjas mother, is basically the mother of them all, being the rational one. On the other hand I like that Mattis, Ronjas father, is not afraid of showing his feelings, going against gender stereotypes.

A bit sad that Killy is seemingly everything the movie cares about all of a sudden near the end, unlike most of the movie. Lone, male hero. That said I assume the universe it's built on is like that, this is the first I've seen of it.

Closer to 5 than 3. Quite nice movie! I kinda maybe wished that the choice at the end would be a different one, where she didn't betray him, because I think it would show a more optimistic view of AI, rather than "they should not never be trusted" and thus "the imprisonment was maybe kinda justified by human survival".

Closer to 4 than 2. I liked it, and it made me wonder what picture they showed of those bankers and investors at the end. Many of those portrayed are selfish assholes - yet is that glorified or shown as something negative? Maybe somewhere in the gray area?
