Fascinating! Quite like 2001: A Space Odyssey, at least compared to being a Star Wars-type film or being similar to a Star Trek episode. Also it does seem to draw on amazement of technology and space, and nostalgia for the crew. Fantastic music, btw.!

I can imagine the rating might increase by one if I watch it again, and consequently be more familiar with the songs.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)

A unique cinematic experience. It's not horror or action scifi, it's simply mystery, and I never knew what was going to happen next. Audio-visually it is beautifully shot and soundtracked, and with a pretty fascinating design of the interior of the ship. While I think I will certainly remember it, the experience didn't feel particularly impactful and as such I have difficulty rating it.
