it seems the film has been written to fulfill a fantasy of some movie fans sometimes wishing they were with a movie star. music is generally not that good. regarding the scene showing a certain someone stealing a book: this is just before bernard (dylan moran) starts his book shop in black books, lol! (btw. a great show, with an asshat of a creator (graham)) guess he stole his books here to get the collection started! william is really quite creepily pushy when she comes visiting, both times. and his roommate too. this is probably characteristic of the writer: someone only pretending to be nice. julia roberts is charming as always, and some of their scenes together are despite the above, but probably that side plot with the friend group is the best part of this film the last scenes with all the fame is pretty silly, and shouldn't have been included.
