I mean..the one time I have seen this, the photography kept me pretty interested. But in terms of story line etc., i find the likes of Paths of Glory and Barry Lyndon much more interesting.

Not a very good film - and then it's basically a story glorifying paedophilia (wtf!), and of course in the most common way in storytelling: where its an older man and younger girl*.
 
* This is probably the case IRL too, perhaps partially because attraction to underage or young characteristics is unfortunately more common. Stop glorifying sexual abuse and differences in power (unless the latter is play, like BDSM)!
